Update For Employers’ Requirement To Post Notice With 300A Summary

This is meant to remind you that between the dates of February 1st and April 30th, employers in the state of California are now facing a requirement that they must post a notice that contains the Form 300A summary.

What is Form 300A?

The Form 300A summary is a summary that describes job related injuries and illnesses at their own respective places of business. It is meant to protect all of the people who work there from potential ailments that could take place at that particular place of employment.

What is the Requirement?

This requirement does not only apply to employers who have had reportable illnesses and injuries recently, but also to employers who have not had any of these reportable incidents take place at their places of business within the past year.

It is important that you make sure that you are acting in compliance with this new policy on posting, as well as any other requirements that pertain to posting that may currently exist.

You can use the pdf at the following link to write the necessary article on the form 300a: https://www.osha.gov/dte/grant_materials/fy11/sh-22246-11/OSHAForm300.pdf.
