In these roles, we have negotiated and drafted personal service agreements, leases, agreements for the purchase and sale of medical practices, and agreements for the lease and acquisition of medical equipment.
Our lawyers are very familiar with the self-referral and anti-kickback laws. We have also represented developers of medical office buildings and have been retain to assist in the sale of several hospitals. We represent many doctors on claims related to or arising out of physician relocation agreements. Large medical services providers frequently use relocation agreements to recruit qualified physicians or specialty practices in exchange for guaranteed collections. SBEMP has assisted recruited physicians either enforce or negotiate terminations of these types of agreements.
