From the Labor & Employment Department:
Beginning July 1, 2018, Cal/OSHA will start enforcing an ergonomic standard to protect hotel lodging industry housekeepers from musculoskeletal injuries.
The new rule requires covered employers to have a Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program which includes: worksite evaluations to identify and evaluate housekeeping hazards; investigative procedures for musculoskeletal injuries to housekeepers; corrective methods for identified hazards; and training on safe practices and controls, and an early reporting process of injuries to employers.
Will you be compliant by July 1st?
