The State Auditor Hotline is a feature that’s available to California residents. The number for this hotline is 800-952-5665. This hotline gives people (whether members of the public or people who work for the state) to make reports regarding the inappropriate actions of state employees, departments and agencies. Examples of these inappropriate behaviors include illegal actions (fraud and theft), incompetence, gross misconduct and state property mistreatment. There are other examples, too.
Open Meeting Act Resources
“The Handy Guide To Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act,” according to the California Office of the Attorney General, the guide is a PDF file that offers helpful information regarding law in California and state commissions and boards. This act indicates that these parties have to notify the public of all of their meetings. It also indicates that these parties must be willing to take public testimony and get agendas ready. They also have to perform all of their meetings while in public. The exception is when they have closed session meeting permission.
